Ford F-150 Truck Caps & Canopies in Canada
All three ArcTrek shells list a Ford F-150 row: the Adventure Topper and Commercial Topper show 5.5' and 6.5' beds, and the Canopy Camper shows a 5.5' bed. Which one suits your truck depends on its cab and box, the payload left on your half-ton, and whether you plan to sleep in the bed.
UPDATED
Start with your F-150's cab and box
Ford Canada's F-150 XL page lists three cabs for the 2026 F-150 XL: a Regular Cab with a 6.5' or 8' bed, a SuperCab with a standard 6.5' bed, and a SuperCrew® with a 5.5' or 6.5' bed. Those are Ford's published configurations for that model year and trim; for another year or trim, check Ford's own documents for that truck. They tell you which ArcTrek row to read; they do not confirm that a shell fits.
| 2026 F-150 XL bed (Ford Canada) | 2026 XL cabs Ford lists with it | ArcTrek F-150 rows showing this bed length |
|---|---|---|
| 5.5' | SuperCrew® | Adventure Topper, Commercial Topper, Canopy Camper |
| 6.5' | Regular Cab, SuperCab, SuperCrew® | Adventure Topper, Commercial Topper |
| 8' | Regular Cab | Not shown in the F-150 rows; ask ArcTrek |
ArcTrek's product pages list the F-150 by bed length, not by cab. A matching bed length is where the conversation starts; the model year, measured bed and proposed configuration still need to be checked.
Half-ton payload comes first on an F-150
The F-150 is a half-ton, and the lightest truck canopy for a half-ton guide explains why that class name does not tell you how much your own truck can carry. Ford Canada lists different max available payload ratings for some F-150 powertrains, and cab, box and options change it again. The figure that applies is on the Tire and Loading Information placard on your truck: “The combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed” the number shown there, and the canopy counts as cargo.
ArcTrek's product pages do not publish shell weights. When you ask about an F-150 fitment, ask for the shipping weight of that exact shell and bed length, then add racks, a rooftop tent, people and gear before comparing with the placard.
Which ArcTrek line for which F-150 job
- Gear and daily use: the Adventure Topper is a cab-height aluminum topper with gull-wing side access. ArcTrek's comparison describes it as the lighter shell if you never plan to sleep in the bed.
- Tools and stock: the Commercial Topper is a heavy-duty aluminum work canopy for trades and fleets, with a rear door and dual side gull-wings. It lists both F-150 bed lengths, so a SuperCab or SuperCrew® work truck has a listed row to start from.
- Sleeping in the truck: the Canopy Camper adds an integrated pop-up roof tent. Its F-150 row is the 5.5' bed, which Ford's 2026 XL listing pairs with the SuperCrew®. On a half-ton, check the payload placard before committing to a camper setup.
What to send for an F-150 fitment check
- Model year, cab style and trim as shown on your ownership papers.
- Your measured box length, rather than the short-box or long-box label.
- Bed and tailgate photos, plus any bed liner, rail covers or accessories already fitted.
- The shell you are considering and what you will carry or mount on it, so payload, roof-load and mounting requirements can be checked against the vehicle and product documents.

Counting only recent model years (2020–2022 on Quebec's 2022 register, 2023–2025 on Ontario's 2025 register), the F-150 leads both tables in the pickup registration guide for Ontario and Quebec. Those are registered trucks, not sales, and the guide notes that recent Ontario model years are understated. Driving a mid-size Toyota instead? See the Tacoma truck cap and canopy guide. F-150 truck cap questions
Which ArcTrek shells list a Ford F-150 fitment?
The Adventure Topper and Commercial Topper product pages each list the Ford F-150 with 5.5' and 6.5' beds. The Canopy Camper lists the F-150 with a 5.5' bed, and its year column reads "Confirm model year".
Is there an ArcTrek canopy for an F-150 with an 8' box?
Ford Canada lists an 8' bed for the 2026 F-150 XL Regular Cab, but the F-150 rows on ArcTrek's product pages show 5.5' and 6.5' beds. Ask ArcTrek about an 8' box before choosing a product; do not assume one of the listed fitments covers it.
Can I put a canopy camper on an F-150 SuperCab?
Ford Canada describes the 2026 F-150 XL SuperCab with a standard 6.5' bed; for other years and trims, check Ford's documents for your truck. The Canopy Camper's F-150 row lists a 5.5' bed. The Adventure Topper and Commercial Topper rows include 6.5'. Have ArcTrek review your truck before settling on a camper setup.
How much does an ArcTrek canopy add to an F-150's load?
ArcTrek's product pages do not publish shell weights. Ask for the shipping weight of your exact fitment, add mounted accessories, people and gear, and compare the total with the Tire and Loading Information placard on your own F-150.
